Amir Khan says Pakistan can become one of the top nations in the world of Boxing

Boxing is the martial art and combat sport in which two people fight and their goal is to knockdown their opponent. Hand to hand combat sport has started thousands years ago but the boxing that is an organized sport has started in BC 688. The modern boxing is started in 19^th century in Great Britain and it has spread in the whole world.

With the passage of time, boxing has become one of the famous sports among the people worldwide. Pakistan is the world famous country for the manufacturing of top quality sports goods including all kind of combat gear but unfortunately they are producing the sports goods for the world but not for themselves. Pakistan has made the FIFA world cup 2014 tournament ball “Bruzuca” that has become a milestone for the revival of sporting goods industry.
Luckily, Pakistan is also contributing in all kind of sports and especially in Boxing they are contributing from more than a century. From the former President of IBA (International Boxing Association) late Anwar Khurshid to the well knew boxers Abrar Hussain, Hussain Shah and Asif Dar. Amir King Khan is also from Pakistan and who has become the world famous welterweight champion with his great performances.

After starting his professional carrier in 2004, Amir Khan won silver medal in the Athens Olympics and then he hasn’t stop his victorious carrier. Amir King Khan is the British boxer of Pakistani origin. Now, Amir Khan has announced to support for the development of Boxing and other sports in Pakistan, during an event in Islamabad Sports Complex. Amir Khan said, Pakistan can become the world famous country in Boxing. He also said, “I strongly believe that we can make many champions from here in Pakistan because the youth of Pakistan is very talented and they just need to be pushed so they can prove their talent.” Amir King Khan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the PSB (Pakistan Sports Board) and PBA (Pakistan Boxing Association). According to this MOU, Amir Khan will provide all the coaches for training and the equipment while the PSB will provide all the necessary support to run this boxing academy in an efficient way.

Amir King Khan also met with CM Punjab Sehbaz Sharif on Monday 24^th of August and they have talked about how to promote Boxing and other sports among the youth of Pakistan.

After Amir’s several tours to Pakistan for the development of the boxing, the world is very hopeful for Revival of Boxing in Pakistan.

Amir Khan said: I can knockout Floyd Mayweather and I really want to get in a fight with him

Amir King Khan said: Mayweather should reveal the secret why he is not getting in fight with him?

During Khan’s recent visit to Pakistan, he has attended a funny program on Geo News in which he has talked about his childhood, how King Khan started his boxing carrier, how he has met her wife Faryal Makhdoom and about his wedding ceremony.

He has been asked, who should be in Amir Khan next fight and you want to knock him out within a few seconds?

Amir Khan replied: “Mayweather is my target and opponent and I want to beat him. I want to get in a fight against Floyd in my next fight.”

Floyd Mayweather has a great carrier. Mayweather has won all of his 48 fights. Floyd Mayweather next fight is against Andre Berto on 12^th of September 2015 at MGM Grand, Las Vegas, USA. Mayweather fight against Manny Pacquiao was this century’s most famous and worthy fight. Floyd Floyd Mayweather net worth is currently estimated at about $400 million.

The host asked him: When you beat your opponent, do you ever feel sympathy for anyone of them?

Khan replied: “NO :D It’s my job and people love to see me while hitting my opponents. Obviously when a person who wants to fight me and we are in the same position and we both want to fight then the best man would win the fight.”

The host asked to Amir Khan wife, Faryal: Do you ever mind when his female fans get selfies with him?

Faryal replied: No J I don’t mind when he got selfie with one of her fan, she enjoyed it when she see Amir’s fans in his surroundings.

The host asked to Amir King Khan: You have fought with great boxers like Chris Algieri, Devon Alexander, Lamont Peterson, Carlos Molina, Breidis Prescott etc. Would you like to share some of your thoughts of any of your memorable fight? Tell us about your best fights?

King Khan replied: “One of his fights against Marcos Maidana in 2010 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Navada, USA.
That was a really tough fight. Maidana had a great record. Thirty-one fights and thirty knockouts only lost one. It was a big test for me. In the first round, I hit him and fell him down. I made him a punch on his ribs. It’s really exciting and sensational fight and it has become the best fight of the year.
That was the match from where I’ve got fame and my name went in the list of best fighters in the world.”

The host asked to Amir King Khan: In our society, parents stop their children to fight with others. To quarrel with someone is not a good thing. Do your parents teach you to beat your opponent badly when you were a child? 

Amir Khan said: “When I was just 5 years old, I was always hyper active. I was misbehaving in my school, misbehaving at home. Then there was a boxing club that was only five minutes away from my house where I lived in Boltan, United Kingdom. My dad took me there and said; Look Amir, Go in the gym and start training and it’s good for your energy too. Put the energy in something positive and Mashallah since then I never look back”

The host asked to Amir: Who is your ideal in the world of boxing?

Amir Khan replied: "Muhammad Ali was my favorite boxer. Mohammad Ali is a great boxer of all time. I met him and Muhammad Ali daughter, Laila Ali, three to four times in USA. He is my Hero. He is the best boxer inside the ring and outside the ring. I want to be like him. Muhammad Ali was a people’s champion. If I do half of Ali, I will be happy."

The host asked to Amir: Do you like Mike Tyson?

Amir King Khan replied: Yes of course I like Mike. Tyson is also a great boxer and he is my friend. I frequently meet him in the United States. I always try to make him happy. He is very angry man. He is a big guy. Whenever we take diner together, I always try to not make him upset. Whatever he said, I answer, Yes Yes Mike, whatever you said, Yes Yes… :D

The host asked to Amir: Have you ever beaten up from any girl rather than your wife?

Amir: My wife is a strongest opponent :D and she has a very good punch.

The host asked to Amir Khan Wife, Faryal: what you have seen in Amir Khan when she decided to got married with him? How and where you met him first time? 

Faryal Makhdoom replied: I knew Amir from years as he is a great Pakistani boxer.

Once he had a fight against Zab Judah and there were lots of posters in the streets of New York City. During these matches, I have met him first time in New York.

She also told that “No doubt, Maweather is a best boxer of this era but he is not made to fight with a bad ass Ronda Rousey. Rousey said; I have faced many difficulties in life and I know how to face and come out from any difficulty. I’ve been made to fight in no rules fight so I am the best in that… Boxing is a tough game with strict rules and restrictions that I cordially respect and I am not able to follow them.
